We have had a home warranty through American Home Shield for over a year and filed a few minor claims. Flash forward to June 2019 our HVAC went out when temperatures hit 100 degrees.
We called American Home Shield and initiated a claim. They sent out three different contractors. We have worked with them now for 45 days trying to resolve this issue. Bottom line, they don't want to pay for this repair and keep offering us a "cash out" but won't specify how much or for what?
They want us to get it repaired on our dime, submit a receipt and then they will determine what they will reimburse us. We declined and so today we were notified they are cancelling our warranty.
Shame on you American Home Shield. Shady business practices.
