Poor customer service - no contact link on web site, phone contact person usually speaks English poorly

American Home Shield, a home warranty company, has not paid for a failed electric water heater (electrical arcing with burnt insulation on side of tank). They have: not contacted me with any explanation not provided a copy of invoice as stated over phone not given me a Service Request #### for use in all communications AHS website links my email address with an expired contract, so I am unable to create a new account. AHS has not resolved this issue even after explaining the situation.

No contract sent

I joined American Home Shield back in July,with first payment to come out in August. I requested a copy of my contract from them, and they said they would send it out. Well it's November now, and I have called numerous times and still no contact. If they can't do something simple like send me a copy of my contract,how can I trust them to get something fixed when I need it???

User's recommendation: Haven't had a chance to use them yet. There people who answer the phones,which I believe is based in the Philippines are unreliable.

I would like a copy of my contract spelling out what is covered and how much I am covered for. I added my septic system,and well pump. I have heard too many bad things about them I hope they are wrong

Dismissed claim?

My dishwasher has had issued since April 2021. You sent out an inept company, Acord Appliance. I complained and received money back, however, they had taken off gaskets. I asked later for a different company and this company was denied repair due to gasket off! You understand that your previous company took gaskets and now you are denying me repairs. I even offered to pay for gasket part but still denied. I request my money back from last company, Zen Appliance. Zen Appliance was a great company but their hands were tied due to previous company's incompetence. I have since purchased a new dishwasher. Your warranty was of no use to me. Please reimburse my money since I was not able to get it repaired. I did officially complain about Accord Appliance way before I went with Zen. I anxiously await your reply.

Contractor not doing due diligence in resolving issues at hand

It's about my GE Andora dryer, three request were made in 09/27, 10/04 and 10/18/2021. Not fixed as of this writing. Had called customer service and requested a new contractor.

Cancel/ Call center terrible help.

Please tell me the process for canceling a policy. I have been trying to get a washer and dryer fixed since 11 July 2021 and the part still isn't order. They keep telling me the part is order and will arrive on 19 Aug 2021 it's September 7 people. I have called twice every week and same response. We will send a email to our parts department and go from there. Nothing is happening. So when my current problem is fixed I would like to know how to cancel my account.

Follow up on my service request

They do not have companies they assign that care about the customers and do the work in a timely manner They charge you and leave you to frustrate yourself contacting and setting appointments Some of the companies do not reply for days if they do at all Really bad

Call response and resolution

Ac problem - placed order for check out. Took couple days for check out. Another couple days went by for ok through AMS. Then another couple days for parts to come in. Finally work was done ac working!! Work will get done just dont be in a hurry. If your ac goes out go buy a window unit for the 2 weeks youll be without ac. If you have a problem and send an email it will be answered (never in my case) in the same manor. Dont worry they take their payment out right on time every month - dont be late on your part. Just my observation

Terrible Customer Service

AHS customer service is only located in the Phillapines. You have to listen to 10 minutes of their script to get a one word yes or no answer. It is awful and a waste of time. Also, having AHS for the first 5 or so years after home purchase (get it in your contract) is fine. After that they barely cover anything and everything will need to be a modified version that they do NOT cover. Get a maintence contract company with a larger company

User's recommendation: 1st 5 years after home purchase is good. After that get a contract with a good local company you can depend on.
