On or about March 2, 2021 requested service for GE Profile built-in side by side fridge/freezer -- Fresh food door fell off. First repair ADA merely called my phone and had me take two pics.
Based on those pics my service order was "complete" and I was emailed a survey. Called AHS CSR. After insisting a second vendor Valley Appliance was sent out. They also took pictures no physical exam of door.
I checked on the AHS website my account page and "parts ordered" was the status. Waited a couple more days, checked and it was marked "service complete". I contacted AHS they said they had no info. I asked why the change from "Parts ordered" to "closed" He said he had no info.
Only authorization dept and vendor. Asked for authorization dept. He said he could not give me that info as they would only talk to vendor. Made him promise to email his supervisor to discuss further.
He agreed. Never again contacted. Vendor said they never changed their mind no new info given to AHS hat the "Parts ordered" was a software glitch by AHS. I asked if they could fix and give me quote.
"Sure will call Monday or Tuesday." Called them Wed. and was told their supplier did not have part. Neigbor took door off. Noted hinge fine.
but screws missing and one sheared. WE bought tool to remove sheared screw and ordered new screws. After they came, we together fixed fridge. I spent $40 as I bought six screws for backup.
So total cost $30.00 to fix. I called AHS to cancel contract. Was referred to retention dept who NOW HAD info that bottom hinge broken AND IT WAS NOT!! I have pics on my phone.
She refused to waive cancellation fee even tho Diagnosis wrong, part was available and door now fixed. Contacted ADR to set up arbitration but have to pay $800!!! to intiate.
I only want my $100 back for initial service "visit" and administrative cancellation fee and parts. so a total $155.00.
User's recommendation: DONT BUY THIS!!
Monetary Loss: $155.
Preferred solution: Service fee - $100; administrative cancel fee - $25 and Parts fee - $30.
