They do NOT replace anything. They pay very little of the cost of needed replacements.
We had to replace an AC air handler in our attic. They sent out a "warranty" AC company who had a 1.9 out of a 5 star rating with multiple complaints. Plus, they wanted to replace the unit with a poorly rated one - last on the list of AC units. With mutliple talks with people I know in the AC business, I was told to "never" let a warranty AC company install any AC units, due to poor knowledge/workmanship.
After going with my own choice of AC installers, I was told "you can't just go out and get who you want" by AHS. They refused to pay one red cent because I didn't play their game.
