My electric hot water heater actually caught fire. Submitted service request, and they said they would have someone call back within 24 hours to schedule an appt.

This is unacceptable for hot water. So I complained, threatened to cancel, and they had someone over the next day. That guy took my $75 and condemned and bypassed the HW heater. Then he told me that I could only order a replacement through AHS, and that would take a week.

Not being able to survive a week without Hot Water, I installed one myself.

AHS refuses to pay anything toward the replacement. I have paid them over $5,000 for warranty over 11 years, and have never been able to recover 1 cent from them
