I was lied to and scammed by American Home Shield
I used American Home Shield Warranty for approximately 1-year. However when I was cited by the Housing Department and called on American Home Warranty, they let me know they did not handle violations.
So I therefore cancelled my contract with American Home Shield. However, before they let me go they assured me they could handle a simple leak that I had in one of my apartments and assured me that if the leak was not repaired I would not be charged a Service Fee. I unfortunately believed the Agent and when the repairman did not repair the leak American Home Shield went back on their word and charged my Bank of America Credit that I thought they had deleted from their file. I did not give them permission to charge my card but they did twice -- $100 each!
And the Bank of America believing the charges were legitimate refuse to remove the charges from my CLOSED Bank of America card. I'm so frustrated by the lies I was told by American Home Shield I'm refusing to just let this matter go. I know they believe since it is only $200 I will just let it go. But for me $200 is a lot of money, and not not only that I had to pay my Handyman to do the work that should have been done by Bear Plumbing provided by American Home Warranty.
I'm now trying to locate how to file a Small Claims Action against American Home Shield. If anyone know the answer please contact me, Ruby at 213-364-****.
