I have had the service for three months and am cancelling. The reasons are:

1) I needed to purchase a new dishwasher that was broken before the contract started. I tried 3 times to get pricing through them and gave up each time for being on hold forever. I even put my number in to call back and never got a call back.

2) A garage door spring broke on a weekend and I called to put in a claim. The company they sent to me had 2.5 stars on yelp, so on Monday morning I scheduled the repair with someone else. My repair was done before their company even contacted me.

I am trying to cancel now and have been on hold for 15 minutes. Their customer service is nonexistent.

The only time you can get them on the phone is to start the contract. After the start of the contract it is downhill from there.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $250.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Consider yourself both smart and fortunate that you are cancelling. Things only get worse from there, due to the lack of actual money that will pass from their hands towards your claims.

Warranty companies exist to squeeze the dollars out of the work that needs to be done, making it very unappetizing to the contractors, who have to hold their noses to work for them. The customers that stick it out with a home warranty are either too cheap to hire someone on their own, or value their money more than their sanity, or they are just broke and desperate.
