JULY 2018 HAD MY A/C UNIT WORKED ON DUE TO A LEAK AND ADDED FREON THIS JULY 2019 STILL SAME ISSUE CALLED THE SENT OUT STOUT HEATING AND COOLING THE SERVICE TECH ONLY HOOKED UP HIS VALVES TO MY A/C UNIT TOLD ME THE READING THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME HE SUGGEST THE WHOLE UNIT BE REPLACED CALLED AHS TO TELL THEM HOW DISSATISFIED I WAS ABOUT THE SERVICE THE REPRESENATIVE FROM AHS WAS NOT LISTENING TO ME JUST KEPT REPEATING THAT I HAD TO WAIT 72HRS FOR A FULL DETAILED REPORT I TOLD HER THAT IS NOT ISSUE BUT THAT IT WILL NOT BE A DETAILED REPORT BECAUSE THE SERVICE WAS NOT DETAILED ASKED TO SPEAK WITH SUPERVISIOR WAS TOLD THEY WILL CALL ME BACK THEY NEVER DID HAD TO THEN CALL BACK GET ANOTHER REPRESENTATIVE THAT KEPT REPEATING EVERYTHING FROM THE PREVIOUS REP TOLD HIM TO TRANSFER ME TO SUPERVISOR HE THEN PLACED WITH A ESCALATION TEAM MEMBER SHE GOT ON THE LINE WITH WRONG INFORMATION HAD TO INFORM HER OF THE ISSUE AND THEN SHE TOLD ME SHE WILL GET BACK TO ME, THEY HAD ANOTHER TEAM MEMBER CALL ME BACK AFTER 5HS FOR HER TO HAVE BEEN TOLD THE WRONG INFORMATION, THE TECHNICIAN FROM STOUT HEATING AND COOLING LIED TO AHS ABOUT THE FULL DIAGINOSIS OF MY A/C UNIT BECAUSE HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING TO GET THE INFORMATION THE REP FROM AHS EXPLAINED THAT SHE HAD ALREADY APPROVED FOR THE PARTS TO BE ORDERED AND REPLACED ON MY UNIT AND THE REP DIDNT DO ANYTHING TO MAKE SURE THAT THOSE WERE THE PARTS ACTUALLY NEEDED FOR MY A/C UNIT TOLD THEM TO NOT TOUCH MY CHECKING FOR THE $100 FEE DUE TO THE LACK OF SERVICE AND THEY STILL MANAGED TO WITHDRAWL FROM MY ACCT EVEN AFTER SERVICES HAVE YET TO BE RENDERED ALSO TOLD REP FROM AHS THAT I HAD THE CARBON COPY OF THE REPORT AND IT ONLY SAYS THAT THE FREON WAS LOW AND THAT THE A/C UNIT TO BE REPLACED. SO NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER COMPANY TO COME OUT TO SEE ABOUT MY UNIT WITH WEATHER TEMPS ABOVE 90 AND HEAT INDEX 100 OR ABOVE AND I HAVE 3 CHILDREN IN MY HOME

Since your system is low on freon and it’s the old R22 type which is 95% phased out by the EPA, your system is shot and obsolete. That’s not quick, or cheap on your costs.

Your out of pocket retrofit costs are going to be huge. They get their service fee first, because the service call has already been rendered. Kinda of like when you go to the doctor—you owe the co-pay at the time of the appointment, NOT after you feel better! Call several local small businesses to quote your replacement and choose one of THEM.

Tell Ahs you want a cashout, and move on with system replacement through a local company.

FORGET about Ahs. All home warranties suck.
