Horrible service! My A/C is broken during an LA heat wave - an extreme heat advisory has gone out.
Our area is at 100 degrees. They will not dispatch emergency services over the weekend because it is not 105 degrees. I was told that I would have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for the technician to call me since they are not required to work on weekends.
When I requested a switch in technicians to have someone who worked on weekends, I was also denied because it was not 105 degrees.
My sister also had an air conditioning issue last weekend, not during a heat wave, and her company dispatched someone that day.
The American Shield “policies” are inhumane and customer service is horrendous. I would never ethically tell someone to ride out the heat with their family and wait until the technician is available to contact them next week.
