On January 12, 2024, I requested to cancel my policy due to no longer residing in the home. The representative canceled the policy effective Jan 31, 2024, stating no further charges would be charged to the card on file.
On Feb 2, 2024, I incurred a monthly charge on the card on file. When I spoke with the company, they stated that the fee was an "administrative fee". Whether there is an administrative fee or not, the company charged after Jan 31, 2024, and won't reverse the charge. This is a fraudulent charge.
If there was (which was never mentioned) an "administrative fee" for canceling, it should NOT have been charged to my card on file.
Thankfully, I received a letter stating my policy was canceled on 1/31/24 and no further charges will be incurred. Now we will see if the company will honor what they sent in writing and reverse the charge or make me escalate and dispute the charge through my bank.
