Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with partial refund. The company finally paid us the cost of the service call that wasn't completed.
We did not get a full payment to replace the refrigerator. The Customer Service Agent that helped us after the bad reviews, at least was reasonably responsive and got us a little out of this process.
This could have been accomplished a month ago. So we are settled but we will probably cancel the program..

Just received an email from a social media representative at AHS. No real contact information supplied.

Update. Now they aren't even going to cash out for the last attempt to repair that never occurred. Just went from horrible to really horrible.

If I waited for service through AHS, I would have been without a refrigerator for 6 weeks. Even though not repairable, they are only planning to cash out for a repair equivalent.
Do not waste your time. Put the $45 a month in a savings account and find reputable companies to service your equipment.
User's recommendation: Check around for other Home Warranty companies.

American Home Shield Cons: Too long of wait on the phone, Honoring the warranty is very poor, Vendors that wont service our area, Vendors that do not have good customer service, Wont call you back or update the progress.
