Scheduled online AC service May 2020, after more than 2 weeks of no response from vendor and multiple calls, texts, messages, rec'd refund of service fee from AHS. 2 months later, requested same service online, was assigned exact same non-responding vendor.
Called AHS after 24hrs to demand a new vendor, required 2 hours on phone to finally get someone to change vendor. Called vendor, was able to get quick appointment, minimal service was done, technician stated it was cool enough for him to my wife and to let it run, it would improve, but in his words " its over 90 degrees, what do you expect?". Thermostat never dropped below 85 degrees. The dispatcher for the vendor was kind enough to call next morning to ask about AC service, let her know there was little to no improvement, she sent technician back 3 days later.
He said unit was dirty and needed a new filter, that would solve issue. Filter is changed every 3 to 4 weeks, he wanted an additional $125 to hose off unit. We declined and performed exterior cleaning as suggested, was also done last autumn season by a different vendor.
Nothing has changed, except for my now $1000 electric bill. System has not shut off in nearly a week, best interior temp has been 79degrees when the outdoor temp was the same.
