Who told you AHS covered window units? And do you mean you have window units in your home, instead of a central cooling system?

Or do you mean that you were led to believe AHS provides window units when you need them? Neither of these is true. Sometimes they concession window units but they take it out on the contractors, like everything else.

It goes against the contractors when customer service decides to concession items. In the end the customer and the contractor are both shorted.

The AHS plumber has to look for conditions that void the warranty, in order to deny the claim—then you have the choice to hire them on your own to make the repair. The idea is that doing this keeps AHS’ costs down, keeps the plumber in good standing with AHS, gets your toilet fixed, and hopefully you will choose to hire their plumber since you’ve already got them there and paid the service fee one way or the other.

AHS is acting as a referral service and they spend nothing on your claim. Win, win, win, right?

Only downside is that you could have called a licensed plumber on your own and had it repaired for the same price or less, sooner. So why use a home warranty?????

The worst excuse fir a business. I requested my dishwasher and refrigerator be services and the first company (GE) never even called to schedule apportionment and never returned my voice message I left several times. AHS finally assigned another company (Family First) and they stated were #1. Well it took over a month to get them on the phone and Inly time they answer the phone is when I called AHS to complain. They had to 3 way call them to set the appointment, then had to call them over another two week period to correct the service AHS and Family First kept making. I calle more than 20 times and customer service kept giving me the run around asssuring me they were getting my order correct over a four month period. After Pamela and Regina Supervisor in the escalation department assured me all the parts that FF said would be in ten days buy took four months were in ready to be installed. Family First showed up with not all ofvthe parts as they stated they had and when i call AHS to report it and complain I was told Pamela said she and Regina would call me right back but never heard from them again, knowing my refrigerator was still missing parts. Pamela also told me the week before, mam Im going to give them until Friday to get all your parts and if they dont have them, because this had been way too long; Im going to replace your refrigerator and they dont want me to do that. She lied not only did FF not have the parts on Friday, Pamela did not call me like she said she was and I did not hear back from her until i call her supervisor Regina the next Monday and then they tried to act like they didnt remember promising to replace the refrigerator if the parts I had been waiting on for 4 months weren't in. They both lied and AHS has been the worst customer service Ive ever seen and the knowing contract out to vendors even worse than they are. Second issue then happens and my washing machine stops working call schedule an appointment confirm time and date the day before the appointment, annnnnd Sears doesnt show up for the 10-2 appointment and when I call AHS at 210 they tell me we just called them and they said they are running behind and my be there in about 2 hours...WTH....did i really need you to call them to tell me they running behing when the appt was 10-2, and i called you aftet 2. Smdh.. I asked so why didnt they call me to tell me they were running behind at any point in the last 4 hours I have been waiting for them.. I requested he have the prior Supervisor and service person contact me about the servicer not showing up and to help reschedule the appointment because the washer is still broken and full of water for a week now. He assured me he would have however now 4 days later no one from Sears or AHS called me and when i called to ask why and complain the customer service person was rude would not transfer me to the department I know i needed and then got smart and said well i see you cancelled the appt for the Washer, at that point I wad livid, and told clearly AHS lied again by choice lied on me and didn't document the fact the Sears never showed up and i called and reported it, not canceled since clearly I was waiting to be contacted by the escalation department to assist with rescheduling with a company they know would show up. I see why the monthly charge is so low.... and your getting why less than what you pay for......ridiculous you cant trust anyone to just do their job....

First call: My AC was broken. AHS denied the replacement of the unit even though the technician told me that there is no possible repair but he cannot say that to AHS. He requested $800,oo (to refill) since AHS does not cover for gas + 100 for the visit. $900,oo for refilling the AC without guarantee that it will work! I call them, I refused this service and change the AC myself. Second call: The AC drainage pipe was clogged in the second floor. the AC repairman bypassed it to an emergency line (that only goes out of the roof) and told me to request a plumber. AHS plumber stated that insurance does not pay enough to do the work. (full replacement of the pipe) and since there is no leak anymore, there is nothing else to do it. Can you believe! Third call: I decided that it is time to cancel this worthless insurance. I checked my account in AHS web site and there is no place where to cancel it. I called, but they told me that they cannot cancel neither transfer me to the cancellations department. They told me that someone will call me. (no calls at all) I called again requesting the phone number of the cancellation department. O surprise, 30 minutes waiting list! Of course they offer a courtesy call in 48 hours... I forgot to mentioned that they only work during business hours central time. Definitely this company is a complete scam, please avoid if possible.

AHS the worst company ever. If you will notice they mostly post their favorable customers. Dealing with AHS you might as well not have them as your repair service. They refuse to pay a dime for our pump after they couldn't find anyone to repair it and told us to get our own service and they would reimburse us. We paid $2, 200 for our service. We cancelled a vacation to pay for this. No one has that kind of money to put out for repairs, that's why we have insurance. We are not finish with this yet. We recommend NO ONE subscribe to this insurance. This is not the only problem we have had with them. Every tech that comes to our house says they hate working for AHS, because they make them look ***. Please don't waste your time. They are not worth it.

WARNING .....This company is terrible. They will not guarantee weekend work, so if your heat goes out on the weekend, your out of luck. They also give 48 hours for a contractor to respond and if you loose your heat on a Friday night, their clock doesn't start the 48 hours until Monday morning, so the contractor has until Wednesday to respond. So you'll be without heat until at least Wednesday. Their customer service people could care less!!!! They refuse to reassign a job until the full 48 hours is over. I'm very sorry I signed up with this company and am not going to renew with them.
