I have a Home Warranty with American Home Shield. In January, 2015 my Sub-Zero Under the counter wine refrigerator went out.

I filed a claim. Apparently the device was covered since the repair people came out and fixed it. What did their report say? About 11 months later in December, 2015 the darn thing goes out again.

Again, I filed a claim, the repair return and determine that the compressor needed replacement. Presumably the repair people obviously contacted AHS to get the OK to order the compressor, not an inexpensive proposition. Then after a month the fridge goes out again. Now the repair people say that the wine refrigerator needs replacement.

AHS now claims the wine refrigerator is not covered. My lawyer thinks I have a case, but it gets expensive, and I think AHS realizes this. They are holding firm. Why in the world would AHS authorize not 1, but 2 repairs (including a new compressor)?

Now AHS claims that I am trying to scam them. How did I scam them? That company is a ripoff.

My advice. Buyer Beware.
