After being a AHS customer for years, we recently filed a repair request on our pool heater which happens to be over 14 years old. AHS send out a technician of their choosing who promptly said that the rusted heater coils were caused by a sprinkler head and denied the claim?!?!

A 14 year old heater that has sat in the weather all of that time was damage by nearby sprinkler head (which is even pointed in the opposite direction). Don't bother with calling AHS. If you get to talk to someone (called twice, held for over 45 minutes the first time and finally was able to reach someone the second time after holding 38 minuted) they could care less about your issue. Their goal is to get you off of the phone as quickly as possible.

Stay away from this Company. They are more than happy to take your premiums but will do everything in their power to avoid honoring their contract. I even asked if we could get an opinion from an independent technician which of course they denied.

I will be filing for arbitration (their contract prohibits you from suing) and filing a deceptive trade practices claim with my state's Attorney General's office. These guys are crooked!
