AHS is by far the worst home warranty company we ever have seen. We have two issues we have called on since we got our policy.

The first one was a minor plumbing issue where the primary vendor they use in our area is a massive scam artist working with AHS to make incorrect diagnosis so they are not covered within the contract AND to then attempt to collect thousands of dollars for unnecessary repairs out of pocket. After demanding a second opinion, a junior plumber fixed the issue which was simply a timer on the water heater. Out second issue is still ongoing. We have a faulty oven which has had a repair person out three times and has recommended the oven be replaced.

Rather than do that, AHS ordered the repair company to remove the motherboard and ship it out of the country for repair. They are saying we will be without our oven for 1.5 to 2 months and that should be acceptable (even though the solution is not guaranteed to work).

What a complete joke. Our latest call to customer service was a rude lady telling us that it is standard practice to do the above things and that customers should just deal with being without an oven because she does not use hers that much….I hope that people get wise and realize what a scam artist this company is.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $2000.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.

I didn't like: Repairs when appliances should have been replaced.
