Had it for one week. The garbage disposal started leaking. I disconnected it and when the service person came he said we shouldn't have disconnected it. Then the toilets and showers were clogged. the service *** said we had a foreign object in the pipes so he couldn't do anything whatsoever. And we had to pay the $100 fee. American Home Shield are crooks. Called to cancel my account and they billed me for the next month afterwards. They will not credit my account. Trust me there are way better, and honest home warranty companies out there that are cheaper, and have better customer service. AHS is outrageous with their monthly fee and service call charges. Their service providers take your deductible but fail to provide TIMELY service on your repairs.We had a plumbing issue that was called in on the 29th of May and didn't get resolved until we ordered the so called "backordered" parts and got them in two days. Finally finished up our repairs on September 4th!! Now we are still in the process of trying get AHS to get our oven repaired, going on 45 days--again they keep giving excuses for provider....

My home is 90 degrees every day with fans going. I called AHS, their affiliate technician took 3 days to come out and assess the problem, despite my request for expediency. First call: My AC was broken. AHS denied the replacement of the unit even though the technician told me that there is no possible repair but he cannot say that to AHS. He requested $800,oo (to refill) since AHS does not cover for gas + 100 for the visit. $900,oo for refilling the AC without guarantee that it will work!
