My AC went out on 6/16. I called AHS. They assigned the repair to Express Comfort Heating and Air. Express called 6/17 to schedule repair. After rescheduling many times, they arrived 6/27. They said they completed the repair and charged me $380. On 7/19 it went out again. AHS sent Express back out. They still didn't fix it. After several additional calls, emails and posts to their Facebook site, AHS finally contacted me. They schedule the...

I called American Home Shield and they sent AAA All Brand Technician looked at it, brought out a Level and said I quote: The Whole Air handler platform will have to be replaced because the unit is slightly tilted preventing drainage and by replacing the platform box will fix the problem and gave American Home Shield a verbal quote of $1,700 + But they declined to go forward stating it's not covered so I decline because I was very sceptical...

They are a back yard/ garage operation. I didn't receive a called to schedule the initial appoint, I had to call AHS to get in contact with them. Our 32 year old Air Conditioner has been repaired beyond belief for the last 3 years. Now, in the hottest part of the summer, it quit again. Motor was dead, fan was dead. Parts were ordered (2 week wait), parts were installed and were dead in 10 minutes. Fan was "universal" size, didn't fit, burned the motor out--again. We are now in the 4th week without AC and no response to calls to the contractor (who said the whole AC should be...

Asked for service to ac unit, the contractor opened up the unit, removed a working part and claimed he need to order a part and left us without ac, refused to put back the unit in working condition , american home shield refused to provide hotel for the night. The contractors are not background checked. I complained about two units, they wanted two service fees. Janice the supervisor was not very cooperative.Asked for service to ac unit, the...

Manufacturing date on the outside of this Trane unit shows as February 1990. We spent over an hour "on hold" just to reach AHS about this, and was told by "Bob" that he would refer this problem to their "Options" department, and that Options would be back with us about it promptly. As of today, we have not heard a word back from AHS whatsoever, let alone have received any kind of "buy out" quote from their Options dept. The heat has forced...

I live in Mesquite, TX, they sent out AC Wizard, been out to fix my AC 8 times, still not fixed, took 4 days to get them to come back out this last time, they refused to fix it, they put on a high pressure switch which they had promised to replace, they can't seem to find the freon leak and AHS won't replace the AC. They sent out another company today, they found the leak, right where the tech hooks his gauge to the high side, but said it is...

  • How long it takes to get ac fixed

There have been times where my family had to wait a week to get oven or air conditioner fixed. That's a long time to be without essential items especially with a family. If you are joining them to save money on big repairs, it does not pan out! These people show zero empathy or urgency toward your needs. It is a big scam to bilk hard working people out of their money. Do not join ahs as you will only spend money on frustration and...

Been waiting for 2 weeks now for someone to fix my ac.It took 3 service calls for whoever American Homeshield sent to actually look at the unit in the attic to begin with. They only looked at it after my mom specifically asked them to go up there and check. After looking up this particular ac company, I could only find bad reviews of their terrible company. They tried to charge my mom near a thousand dollars for things that weren't even the main...
