Well then that explains why they took out my Rheem 50 gallon self cleaning hot water heater and gave some junk 48 gallon no self cleaning and told me I had to have an overflow tank charged me 750 on top of the 75 and the 55 I pay monthly BUT MY neighbor who has same house and been there just as long as me and hers went out same time as mine did

Well they gave her the same hot water heater but no over flow tank but both water heaters were contracted out by American Home Shield she got IDEAL their company did the work took 3 days for us both And I got the creeps Home Advanced Service . Maybe they shouldn't take so much contracted work then. Im canceling they will never be in my house again and i called a friend who will fix it for nothing good riddins to AMERICAN HOME SHIELD CRIMINALS THEY THE BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME JUST CALL SOMEONE ELSE SAVE YOUR HEALTH THESE PEOPLE DONT CARE IF YOU DIE WATING TO GET SOMETHING FIXED THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN SHUT THEM DOWN.

First: It is illegal for a licensed plumber to install any water heater without an expansion tank nowadays. Your neighbor’s plumber is in violation of the law.

Second: home warranty customers are pissed no matter what happens with their claims. Denial? Unhappy. Partial denia?

Unhappy. Covered but parts needed? Unhappy. Replacement?

Unhappy. Cashout? Unhappy. Every single contractor in the USA that works for home warranty companies has AWFUL reviews.

Why do you think that is? And if all the contractors get replaced, the replacement contractors would all have awful reviews. So what is the solution? The only solution I can see is that the customers STOP buying home warranty plans, and take on the responsibility themselves of hiring reputable contractors, and show the home warranty companies that Americans are wiser than they thought.

No lawsuit is going to change the fact that the contractors are doing the work for free as far as AHS and the other warranty companies are concerned. That is the price of getting all the leads. A home warranty company is just a lead service, in which no money will come from the warranty company. They will have to sell the customer some non-covered items, or do the work for free, or find a way to get the claim denied.

This is required by their contractor relations rep. AHS really does not care about anyone, especially the contractors.
