We reported an AC outage last Thursday, 11 July. The quickest they said they could get a technician dispatched here would be Tuesday, 16 July.

The local company was able to get someone here today; however he did not have the correct part and would have to order it. This required further approval from AHS.

AHS told us that it would take another 5 days to approve! We are elderly with 2 dogs in the house and all are suffering!

Product or Service Mentioned: American Home Shield Warranty.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Home warranties are not for emergencies or where life or property is at stake. If you can’t wait, then call someone on your own, or go buy some window units.

Suffering is ridiculous, just because you have a warranty.

So many people in the same boat, thinking their problem is more urgent than everybody else. When other air conditioning options exist, it’s just silly.


I disagree with this comment. People are paying good money for peace of mind with these contracts.

When they don’t get what they feel they have paid for, they have every right to compensation.

These companies are bottom feeders and unregulated (as far as I know). Pure criminals in my book.
