My hot water burst, we had to shut off our water a week ago. American Home Shield (AHS) has refused to authorize an expedited service call for our home. It's 110 degrees outside, and we have not water for our family of 8.

AMH does not help its long standing customers

I been with AMH for 12 years and i been having AC problems for the past 4 years and they keep doing patch work on a R-22 system which is old and about to be done away with. I was asking for a new system and they still want to do patchwork. One person said i can't have a second opinion. They offered me a buy back for only 329.00 which is ridiculous.

A/C repair

Our A/C went out and the vendor they are providing doesn't have any appointments available for 2 weeks. Our temperatures are headed over 100 degrees for the weekend, and AHS refuses to try to get anyone out here sooner. They aren't even willing to try and find a vendor in the city I live in, but are dispatching from a city over an hour away. The rep I spoke with just repeated her script over and over and refused to let me speak to a mmanager

Replacement of washer

Horrible Customer Service (India Call Center)

I renewed a policy for a year with a sale person in the US for $600. Several months later received bill for $200 more with only stating "fee". Customer service in India would not help after several calls and one purposeful "infinite hold." I was finally able to get the Retention department and cancedl my policy.

User's recommendation: I would recommend another company. Initial request for service via online is ok, however, if there is any issue you will not get any resolution to customer satisifaction.

I've been an American Home shield customer for over 26 years I can't believe their services have gone down so bad. They did not want to reimburse me for a service call on my dryer the technician came out four times it worked for 2 weeks or 2 months and it was doing the same thing. I called AH on a/c repair, They sent technician, he wanted to charge me $1,600 for freon recharge over and above the paid for $100 service free. I called a different repairman I have used for several years and he informed me that the AH serviceman was being dishonest. His total bill was $824 including service fee and taxes! The freon charge was $540.

VERY POOR SERVICE

Today I had a service technicians for my washer that on the spin cycle is moving out of control and it makes a horrible noise . I was told that I am not loading the washer correctly .

I am 73 years old and I know how to load a washing machine and this washer I have for more then 5 years and it functioned normally until now .

This is not the first time that a technicians did not even stayed to see the spinning cycle go on with close in the washer . I should be able to load the washer with any kind of close without having the washer mauve out of the area that it is in .

The contract that I HAVE IS TO HAVE PROFETHIONAL TECHNITIANS that I can count on there knowledge and that they will not think that I am stupid.

I referred other customers to AHS and probably I should cancel my membership and put BAD references every place I can.

I hope that somebody from the customer service will call me to resolve this issue.

I payed 125 and my washing machine is not repaired.

4 months trying to get washer and not dryer repaired. Still not rectified. Made many calls but just get run around, promises to call you back, promises to fix the problemwell its 4 months now and no go. Try calling the corporate office.you wont get through. AHS is the worst. Their warranty is dishonest. These people should be shut down.

Unlike other warranty companies you can't negotiate using outside services whom you know, their credentials and qualifications, I needed my AC repaired ( evaporate coils needed to be replaced) home shield's contractor wanted to charge me twice as much for the Freon replacement than most others which home shield only cover ten dollars per pound toward to the cost, I have been without ac a month negotiating this problem co coa

My refrigerator went out they sent someone but didn't agree with their finding the want a second opinion that company came and said it need to be replaced too. I had to pay out-of-pocket part of the money to replace the refrigerator, didn't honor their contract.

This company denied a claim and, when requested, would not provide contact information for someone who could actually help with the situation. On Saturday, March 13, 2021, I found that my central air conditioning was not working. The inside unit was on and the fan blowing, but the house was hot. Upon further investigation, I found that the outside unit was not working and, when I checked the breaker box, discovered that the breaker to the outside unit had tripped. I also discovered that the breaker would not stay on as long as the inside unit was running despite multiple attempts to turn on the breaker. Although American Home Shield has been good about taking care of my needs in the past, I have found that they can sometimes have trouble finding a contractor to come out to my house immediately. In some cases, I have had to wait several days before a contractor could get to the house. With that in mind and considering that my last air conditioning issue was a simple repair, I felt that it would be best to call a contractor who I knew and trusted. I didn't want to have to wait until after the weekend to get air conditioning if possible (I live in Texas and, although it isn't all that hot yet, it is very humid). The technician came out and looked at the unit, conducted some tests, and determined that the issue was that the compressor was not working. Apparently, in doing that, he did not reconnect some of the parts and wires. Since this was more than a routine kind of issue that could be easily fixed, I decided to go ahead and make a claim through AHS. The technician came out on Monday, March 15, spent just a few minutes outside, brought in an invoice and told me that the compressor was out. He said he would make a report. On Tuesday, March 16, I found out that the claim would be denied because some of the parts were not connected and, until I was able to get the unit working so that they could test it, AHS would not honor the claim. This seems a bit silly since the whole problem rests in the fact that the unit does not work and, thus, the reason for my reaching out to AHS. In relation to your website and in the section that begins with these words, "All home warranties are not created equal. Our American Home Shield Assurances are always included, even in our base plans. This means you'll get coverage for:," the list of items covered include (in the words on the website): "Improper installations, repairs or modifications." I can't help but feel that this would be covered under such a provision since, although an outside contractor attempted the repairs improperly, there is nothing else written in that section about excluding improper installations, repairs or modifications by an outside contractor who is not affiliated with American Home Shield. I spoke with several customer service agents and supervisors who told me there was nothing that they could do about the decision and, when I asked for someone who did have the authority to make decisions, they refused to give me that information. I found the emails for several executives including Chelsea Sumrow, Jonathan Herman, and Scott Brown, but, when I attempted to contact them, my emails were blocked and would not go through. The same happened when I attempted to contact the CEO of the company. This company seems to be a company that seeks to find loopholes, especially in relation to expensive repairs, to get out of paying for the services even when I have been a loyal customer and have paid them hundreds (possibly thousands) of dollars for their warranty.

The worst service I have ever had, a rip , a scam. My daughter and grandson Ac went out, had to wait a week for someone to show up only to find out a day later I have to wait another week for someone else to come so they can give they info to someone else so its a crap shoot where it goes from here. They suck, they are worse than the mafia.
