NO SERVICE

I contacted AHS on 2-8-21 about a leak. Of course, it was an automated call when I reported it and paid the $100.00 at that time. AHS said the plumbing company said because of the ice storm here in Louisiana was the reason they had not responded, but I had actually called before the ice storm, and I am still waiting. Of course the calls are out sourced, so it is very difficult to understand the reps. The only things they can do is apologize and will have the supervisor call you or transfer you to escalation department. The supervisors never call and, I think the escalation is not existent.

User's recommendation: If you are offered this when you buy a home just take the money.

Service Problems

Next week it will the 9th time for a contractor to come for the same appliance, my ice cube maker. This is excessive in my opinion. The last tech said it is not repairable. Every part for my ice cube maker has been replaced. I have been so distraught over this. In addition, Im losing money from having to take time off. This whole process started back on January 4th. I been trying to reach someone one in corporate and I never get any further than the customer service rep thats in another country. Can you please get this to an individual that can reach out to me via phone? It would be greatly appreciated.

Inaccurate billing, failure to send copy of contract

Every month I get a "past due" notice but it is false. I waste time every month on the phone trying to fix this. They have ignored my requests for a copy of my contract. They failed to add "well" coverage to my contract.

Very dissaticfied with AHS, sent A/C company out to fix issue twice that did not get resolved and they will not fix it unless I pay another service fee.

AHS sent a a/c company out twice and the company did not fix issue and now after 30 day, which used to be 90 days they are saying it not warrented anymore.

We are going through the exact same thing and with the exact same contractor. A little different in that he used the term "known defect" and that has caused AHS to tell us "it's not covered".

It's a design flaw and we've had the refrigerator for 7 years. Not a known manufacturer's defect!

I hope your issue gets resolved. We are just starting on ours.

Unsafe and horrible plumber

American Home Shield - Unsafe and horrible plumber
Have been an AHS customer for 20 years. Needed new hot water heater. They sent contractor Home Choice Services , Daytona Beach. Judge for yourself... this is the 30 gallon tank they installed which sits 1/3 rd off the shelf in a bathroom. I called American Home Shield and the plumber to fix, but no results yet.

Lousy customer service, lies

Run away from this company. They may say the are in the US but their call center clearly is not. I am beyond frustrated with their lack of customer service. They lie as easy as they breathe. Said I would not be billed for two months due to their lie about a contractor and lo and behold I was charged. They do not want to refund the money keep trying to extend contract. They also want to charge me to cancel contract. Call center representatives should be fluent in speaking and understanding the language of the people they are speaking to. They clearly have a script and an agenda and customer service is not it.

Poor Service

I have American Home Shield and have not filed a claim in two years. My air conditioner went out on the evening of Feb 27th. I filed a claim the next morning, Sunday Feb 28th. The technician arrived on March 2nd, which was an acceptable time frame as I sure there were other customers ahead of me. He found the problem and said he'd be back when the part arrived. To my horror the part won't arrive until March 8th because AHS won't authorize expedited shipping. I will be without Air-conditioning in central Florida for over a week. I find this level of service unacceptable.

User's recommendation: Do not purchase a home warranty from American Home Shield.
