American Home Shield

Well, I had 2 contracts with them, I sold one property and cancelled the contract and saw that I continued paying one payment which was higher than the property I still owned but I thought they had raised the rate, but to my surprise, they cancelled the wrong contract and now will not give me service on the property I still have and also will not return my money!!!!! The service was for my elderly parents. They are thieves at this company, I hate this company. They made a clerical error and now won't fix it Very, very *** and mean people that don't have any training for CUSTOMER CARE!!!!

American Home Shield in Ogden, Utah - Facebook, newspaper

No details necessary when you read through my terrible experience with American Home Shield. One member of their customer service is dishonest and won't listen to a word you say. I was promised a refund in January and it has never arrived. When I niquire, Lost faxes. Lost files. empty "I'm sorries". I urge current customer to reconsider as we are doing or don't even sign up if you have the choice. American Home Shield will not satisfied your needs. And if they do,,, you will most likely be over charged.. and, you'll never get your money back even after they admit it.

American Home Shield in Washington, District Of Columbia - Quite Pleased

I have an American Home Shield warranty package on a rental property for the past few months. Last week I made claim on a broken refrigerator. In less than one hour I heard from the repair company setting an appointment for the next day. Repairman arrived within my chosen time window, diagnosed and completed the job in about one hour, collected the $60.00 service fee and the warranty covered the $400.00 part. No worries here. I'm buying more policies for my other rentals. I should have done it years ago and saved thousands on heating, a/c, and other repairs and replacements. What was I thinking.

AHS has been sending companies to get us cold ac every spring for over 12 years! One told us it would not get cold because our state had laws you could not have your house below 72 degrees (LOL); We finally found one that only had to come out once/twice a year to keep...

I think a Class Action Suit is way past due for this shady company!! Don't even waste your time checking the BBB (Better Business Bureau) because they have an A+ rating there. I learned long time ago not to check BBB because businesses pay to be listed there. American...

I thought I had a stoppage in my bathroom plumbing line. I called American Home Shield(AHS) and asked them to send a plumber. I knew that would be near impossible because all the plumbers I had talked to in my area refused to do business with them. At any rate AHS told...

American Home Shield in Nashville, Tennessee - AHS Warranty- Stay far away!

It is no coincidence many actual reputable service providers do not enter into a contract with AHS. Most of the ones that do cannot get work elsewhere so they contract with AHS. My most recent experience was with a so called heat pump repair person. The reason I called in a service order was my electric bill had doubled for the month of January. When I called AHS on 6 Feb the representative told me the repair company was located in my town. However, when I called them to set up an appointment time I discovered they were located 1 1/2 hour drive away. This became significant for several reasons but mostly for the fact when the repair person arrived he clearly was more interested in spending the least amount of time possible so he could get back on the road. As a result he never found the problem. Two weeks later I called a trusted company and this time discovered I had been heating the house entirely by aux heat due to a bad defrost board and as a result that is what caused the high electrical bill. I have since cancelled my contract with AHS and will advise anyone not to do business with them.
