Worst experince ever. I can not express to you enough do not use this company. I have been calling all day after a week with no heat. Asked for an explanation of why my unit wouldnt be repaired and have gotten no where. All they wanted to know is if i paid my service call fee. I have been with tjem for 10yrs and all of the sudden once they actually have to repair things they claim improper installation and no maintenance. Theu are the ones insuring it. Why would you say nothing about this for the past 10yrs as you did maintenance. These words only came up after your guys couldnt repair it at a cost you deemed profitable. Words can not express the frustration i have with this company.

Terrible service! Actually yelled at me , only fixed one appliance and wouldn't even look at the other ones.

Said he only gets paid to fix one item on work order, which is a lie. Worse service I have ever had!

Took multiple trips to fix garage door and wash machine. Customer service is extremely rude and non helpful. Do not buy this service under any condition. When you have problems, don't bother calling the regular number as it will only give you more problems. Call and ask for Rene Golwitzer at corporate headquarters at (901) 537-8000. Again do not bother talking to anyone but her. Also demand to speak to Mark Barry -President. He can be reached directly at 901-525-7800. It would be in your best interest not to ever buy this in the first place. This company sucks more than a *** in Las Vegas on a Saturday night.

For claims service, be ready for long hold times and working with agents who have heavy workloads. In my case a double-oven needed replacement and it was evident that once the company realized they were liable for this, a "no call-back" strategy kicks in and unless the customer is persistent and proactive either no replacement occurs or it drags out over many weeks. I had to call the corporate office to get resolution after repeated unfulfilled promises of "you'll hear from someone tomorrow."

American Home Shield in Charleston, South Carolina - Can not cancel policy

Called no. given to cancel policy. After giving all necessary info to AHS person, was told I had to call another no. to verbally state I want to cancel. After over 1hour on phone, I hung up and called again. A second person I advised what happened told me she would contact cancellation dept and have them contact me by end of day. So much for that. They never called. Do yourself a favor, don't take policy and repair yourself or call a real contractor to fix. After spending $600yr plus $75 to just have someone check out problem you can get better service. Remember, unless you item covered is completely broke, they most likely wont fix. Contractors are having hard time getting paid by AHS for their work.

Have sold the home under contract and unable to contact the cancelation dept. at AHS. After 40-50 minutes on the phone on 3 different occasions , still unable to get through. Called another department at AHS who was not allowed to cancel. After hearing how long we had been trying to cancel said she would have them call us . After a pause, she stated , they probably would "NOT" return our call . Have since cancelled credit card payment and will contact BBB.Have read the complaints of others in my position and find them to be similar.have only used them a few times over the years. Never had a late payment .On the last service call they were very reluctant to cover the item even though my contract said it would be covered. Why is this company not contacted by the State Insurance Commission?

American Home Shield in Georgetown, Texas - Cannot cancel

my plan was to go into effect the 26th of october but before this happened i called to cancel the contract due to my desire to sell the property. i also emailed them thru the online a h s site. i informed them of my desire to cancel and for them not to process pmt. when you try and call the number to talk to someone in person the msg tells you the wait is over 15 minutes. this msg does not change as i tried for three days at all times to reach a real person. just this morning waited 45 minutes and then another time of 35 before finally quitting. of course my card was charged even tho they had gotten the emails but now to try and get it back is the fun time. do yourself a favor and stay away from this company

American Home Shield in Dover, Delaware - Heating Service Call

Worst Technician ever. I think he was around 12 years old. Went down in my crawl space where the heater is located...He informed me that my system was put in illegally and didn't meet specifications. The switch wasn't igniting the gas furnace. He stated, my duct work was too long and not in legal specifications. We are military, purchased the home 18 years ago, with a VA loan and inspection. REALLY! he had the nerve to ask me if there was an inspection. $75 for a 5 minute look. As I stated, several contractors have been working/servicing my unit for years. I immediately called to cancel my contract immediately. They considered this as a pre-existing problem....Yes, we knew that the switch wouldn't ignite when the temps dropped. Ok...Bub Bye!
