Won't help the customer. They stand so rigid on how they will not help you that they have lost touch with their customers. They resolve everything with " We won't cover that! ". They should be ashamed of their blatant cruelty.

this company, frame my comments as resolved and I'm still waiting for answer my policy is open and never returned my money swindlers are without shame they do believe people already solved the problem while you are staying with your money

this company sells a warranty that is a farce !!!!! I bought a house and got the warranty with american home shield, after 15 days of living at home had problems with the heating and call this company to repair the heating, they sent me to a technician who just took pictures and said missing pieces of the machine and do not repair anything; then the company called me to say that is not covered because missing pieces. This was a ridiculous excuse because the machine was running before. I pay for the repair of the machine with a responsible technician who I fix and make sure that all the pieces were there. call to cancel the guarantee that did not meet what they promised and so far have not returned my money, do not fix anything, and do not cancel my policy. these people are crooks who stole my money !!! do not let it rob you too !!!!!

the company contacted me and promised to return the money of the policy but I have more than a month waiting and money does not appear. I can not believe that these people are so dishonest !!!!!

They sent out a person to fix my heating system and the guy said he did not know what to do and would have to read up on it and get back to me in a few days. It was 20 degrees so I called American Home shield and they said they dont have anyone else and I would have to wait. I called a reputable company who came out the next morning and fixed it in 1/2 hour. I cancelled the warranty company and they would not give any money back. What a waste of time and money. What a *** company.

Don't water your money cancelled them twice to only have them take out money again at my bank had to pay 30 dollars to cancelle them myself or stl be taking out money form my bank.. Stay away!!

Dont pay for anything ! That company says up grades aren't covered! And your item needs to be replaced !

And we don't cover that ! S

Do you have the old AC that uses R22? I need an upgrade and they will only replace the indoor air handler and charge me $1200.

American Home Shield - Repair Service Review from Poteet, Texas

As an employee of AHS I want to warn all consumers. Most repairs take weeks to be complete and if you call for help reps have 6 minutes to address it or they get punished. That's why they brush you off. AHS will find a reason to tell you your repair is not covered 8 times out of 10. They don't train properly & have a ridiculously high turnover rate. They encourage employees to lie so the call can end quickly. Beware!!!

I was notified early in the morning from my property management company that the heater stopped working and the tenants were freezing. They tried to contact AHS and after an hour AHS told them they were sending a vendor out. I got the email confirmation with a dispatch number and thought everything was good. I was later contacted my the property manager that the vendor was not coming until the next day and AHS called me to say I can get a $60 rebate to purchase a space heater. I was furious. What if this was my family? So I called AHS and spoke with a very rude customer service rep that would not help me. I pleaded that it was winter and my tenants were in sub freezing temps and she said she was aware and it was cold where she was. I also said that my pipes could freeze with no heat in the house. Again she blew me off. I personally offered to pay for a hotel stay for my tenants until the vendor could get out to fix the heater. I am so pissed off at AHS and they never even called back. Horrible company and I will ensure that I post my review wherever I can. The customer is not happy with the service.

On Dec 13, I called AHS because my hotwater heater was leaking and was told they cannot schedule a contractor until the 15th, (Mon.thru Fri) even though there was one inch of water on the floor. On the 15th I called back and was given an appointment for a technician to evaluate the problem on the 16th. The techinican never showed. O n the 17th again I called and was told someone forgot to enter the appointment in the computer but they would try to get another contractor. Late that day another contractor called and said he could not get out to look at the problem until the 24th and the repair could not be done until the following week. I called AHS and ask if they would allow me to install the hotwater heater and reimburse me the cost of the heater to which they replied, only after another technician evaluated the problem which would cost me $75.00 service charge which I refused to pay. At this point in time I had become so frustrated with AHS due to their care less attitude, the water damage to my floor and clothing stored in boxes including the 30-45 minute wait on hold each time I called. On the 19th I purchase a new waterheater at a cost of $300.00 and installed it myself in about 2 hours. VERY POOR SERVICE AHS!!! I am finished with you!

American Home Shield in Sterling, Virginia - A/C broken, American Home Sheild was useless!!!!

After paying into American Home Shield for many years we made our vey first claim in June of 2014 for a broken A/C unit. What did the contractor (that we had to pay for) tell us? That the unit had been damaged by ice falling on it and therefore we did not qualify for repair or replacement under the AHS policy. Ice???? In June???? It had been working perfectly up until that time. Just a complete rip off from beginning to end. Just put the money in your bank instead of AHS bank. You will be MUCH better off. Buyer beware!!!!

Yes, it happened to me with my AC unit, they keep sending me technicians that are idiots who doesnt know what they're doing. All they did was look outside the AC unit, and blaming the problem in a very small dent. So i got a technician that's not from their company and fix the problem in 30 minutes which was a leak.

This comp is horrible. They do not respond in a timely matter. There customer service is atrocious. In fact they take a cavalier approach to your problems. Your better off taking care of it on your own. They never save you really any money. I needed a drain cleaned on the weekend. They contracted me to a plumber service only open Monday to Friday. Then told me my drains backing up was not an emergency. No clean drinking water,or indoor plumbing was not an emergency in the old wild west,not 2014. Do yourself,and don't family a favor,and forget you even thought to use these crooks.
