Worst Service Providers Ever!

They sent a guy out who looked at my problem with a condensation pipe leak and said he could not access the area. Then he asks about a service fee after he said he could not fix it! I think he even got MAD when I told him I wasn't going to pay him lol. It look like the guy was crippled too, or handicapped. He wasted my time and his.Then a few days earlier I had a plumber out and even he was complaining saying American Home Shield leaves him on hold for an hour and he had another client to go see. I would NOT recommend this warranty company to my worst ENEMY!!! Please reconsider.

Poor customer service, never respond to emails and phone hold times average one hour.

This company is over charging me for my coverage by $130 and I have tried five times to correct it and now they are ignoring me. Think three times before using these people. They are too ready to take your money but too slow to correct account issues. I called them four times and was assured that they had fixed the charges on my account. But still nothing was done. This is the second year I have there service and had to use it twice. The wait time for their techs is usually a long time and their co pays are higher than the other companies offering the same service. They are also more expensive than most others.

On hold for hours/poor service

I have had several bad experiences using their service providers. Some are good and others I will not let back on my property. Had a major plumbing problem and they could not find anyone until 3 days later. That was not going to work as I had water damage leaking through onto my ceiling in my gameroom below. They gave me an outside authorization to contact my own plumber which I did and they came out the next day. Now they said they are not going to reimburse me as the plumber was on hold for over 30 minutes waiting to get an authorization from them to do the work and he had to leave for another job and couldn't remain on hold for who knows how long! WHAT KIND OF *** IS THAT! He is paid by the hour and has other work to do. I remained on hold until someone answered and they told me that he would have to call them for me to get reimbursed! How ridiculous!! They do not want to pay! Now I have damage on my ceiling below and they said they will not cover that! I am sick of this company. I paid an AC contractor referred by them last year over a $1,000 extra dollars for Freon that obviously was not needed as I had to call another AC company this year as it was not cooling again. They told me that they had many complaints regarding that contractor doing the same to other clients. American Home shied should reimburse me for this money I paid out needlessly. I have had it with this company and will be looking for a new one!!

Vendors never called and when ahs called them they lied and said they reached out to me. Still waiting for an ac vendor to be assigned. Rude customer service and want to tell me how busy they are ...... Do I care no.

Very Poor Response Time

Expect to be put on hold for 30 minutes to an hour every time you call. You can expect to call a average of 15 times to get the status on one the repair order. There is no way to resolve questions through email or chat. Took 6 months to finally get authorization for a new refrigerator that could not be repaired. Don't know when I will get my reimbursement but it won't be soon. If time is money they are making big bucks on delaying and not replying. You have to out wait them if you want what the warranty promises.

American Home Shield Customer Care Review from Dubach, Louisiana

American home shield has the worst customer service. Their system is set up so their customers can not speak with a manager who has the autonomy to resolve issues. They have placated me for 3 months and refuse to respond as well as failing to reimburse me $399 for an out of pocket repair. Their service is the worst I have experienced in my adult life. I would encourage everyone to find another home warranty service that values their customer and customer service.

Bad billing

They keep billing me for a $125 service fee. Incorrect. When I got my warranty they gave me two free service calls and this is one of them. I told them a month ago when I got the first bill, but they didn't keep their promise to fix it. Now I cannot reach them. My account is blocked online because of the 'overdue' bill. It says to call them. They don't answer the phone, it's all automated. Been trying for three days! Ridiculous!! I waited on hold for more than 30 minutes two days in a row. I have better things to do than to keep trying to get them to fix their mistake!

This company has bad service. Every single time I call is over an hour. I never ever got my $25 referral credits and have been chasing just like the other individual. I also was supposed to be sent a check instead of repairs since I replaced them instead of opting to fix them, and they lost the check twice. I'm very frustrated and referred several people. They also contract out work to some not so good companies. Hopefully they will make it right.

I have had their contract a few times . They fix stuff which breaks again their service phone support is horrible long wait times. When I called to cancel last time they gave me a $200 credit for customer retention that was nice but then I wasn't happy with what happened after that. They are just ok for major things but I can't see paying $40 a month for something forever then nothing happens or just deal with things when they come up. Anyway I called to cancel today and I still have about 10 paid days left and they said it would cancel immediately hiw is that fair? Thus for CONF me to call back the day before the next payment is due to cancel! I don't really like the customer service the people sent to fix items and anything about these people I won't ever use AGSIN I don't think

Worst customer service experience

Been trying to call for several days. Every time 30-40 minutes or more wait, after which call automatically disconnects. Still unable to reach anyone. Tried to use the chat function through website, same issue with a message, "there are 70+ ahead of you". Cannot sit in front of computer or on a call all day. AHS is a big scam, do not use this warranty company. Even in the past, every time there is an issue, end up paying service fee of $75, then they find some loophole not to cover and I end up paying for the full repair, plus they charge the monthly fee promptly.
