Worst Customer Service | American Home Shield review

I have had now 6 different technicians come out to try and fix my ice maker on my Kemore Fridge. I have to *** work everytime, and everytime they do not fix the problem. Technician #5 can just this morning, and an hour after he left it was still not working! I called into customer service AGAIN, hold time of normal 45 minutes plus to get an operator who is rude, and says well we will send out another technician. Do not believe this company that they will fix or replace your item. They want to keep sending out reps instead of fixing a broken appliance! I am not going to let them win, I am going to keep calling everytime it does not get fixed until they replace it. They want you to keep paying for the warranty all the while they are not fixing or replacing anything. This company should listen to their reps on the phone they are so rude! I will be cancelling as soon as my fridge is fixed. At this point I could cancel my contract and just go and buy a fridge for all the time off of work and the $75 fees I have paid! This company is not who they say they are. Please read the reviews before you sign up.

Terrible service from both American Home Shield and the company they sent out to us to look at our heating issue (Eco Systems Heating & Air). Incompetent | American Home Shield review

I had a problem with a leak under my sink and contacted AHS. A plumber arrived and looked under the sink then stated that he did not see a leak and I was informed to call again if the leak reoccurs. I paid my service call fee. I personally felt that service was ineffectual. This plumber stayed approx. 15 min. I called AHS and voiced my concerns and requested that they do not send that in response to my call again. The leak reoccurred and AHS was called. The plumber that responded replaced something in my sink. Months later I noticed that the tile in my kitchen and laundry room was cracking. After looking in my crawl space my husband noticed insulation was soaked and a leak apparently coming from the kitchen. We again contacted AHS who dispatched another plumber who determined that the leak was coming from my dishwasher. I now have extensive damage to my floors in my kitchen, laundry room, living room and baseboards. I was informed by an AHS representative that they are not responsible for secondary damage. Therefore, I have had to file a claim on my homeowners policy. Which would not have been necessary if the plumbers dispatched to my home had been efficient in tracking down the leak the first time they responded. AHS sent an appliance company to repair my dishwasher two weeks ago and they still have not repaired it. During their first visit I was informed that they needed to order a part. After not hearing from them in one week, AHS was contacted and I was informed that the contacted repairman did not have the part and AHS had ordered the part. This was one week after the initial visit and no one had contacted me to update me on this delay. When the repairman returned and replaced the part, my spouse ran the dishwasher and guess what it was still leaking. The repairman returned and evaluated the problem and stated that he will have to order the part. Another week later and I have not heard from the repairman. A call was made to AHS and I was informed that they were not aware that another part needed to be ordered. Two and a half weeks later my dishwasher has not been repaired and my home is undergoing extensive repairs!!! AHS has been a huge disappointment. I have had to file a claim on my homeowners policy, pay a grand deductible, my home is in total disarray, have not been able to use my kitchen for three weeks and AHS is disavowing any responsibility. Mind you I have had to pay these jerks that AHS contract with deductibles every time they responded to my home.

American Home Shield - Repair Review

Washing machine problems. Ahs sets up service with sears repair. Took the day off work to meet repairman, never showed. Called the number and I got someone out of country, phillipines. Could not contact person who was suppose to come by. Ahs sets up another repair, 2nd day off work to meet repair man. He comes by and basically rebuilds washing machine. A week later it returns and a week later it's broke again. Called ahs, take another day off work to meet repairman. Recommends replacing washing machine. Two days later receive email from ahs for a 2nd opinion. 2 weeks later I finally am able to contact the 2nd opinion company. Take another day off work to meet them and they recommend replacement. 3 days later I still haven't heard from ahs. Call them and they say call a different number after 9am on Monday. Call the number and voice system says due to high volume of calls I get to wait on phone for greater than 30 minutes. Terrible customer service. I could have replaced the washing machine and the dryer for the time I took off work to attend to all these calls. Not to mention 4 weeks without a washing machine with a family of 5. Very similar issues with ac replacement and ahs refused to replace ac system because it was. 4 ton outside unit with a 5 ton inside unit that has been at this house for 20+ years but they say it was undersized and that's why it went out. I call bs. It lasted 20 years. Total out of pocket expense for the ac replacement.

American Home Shield - Unacceptable service & policies in Washington State

Have had ASH in WA state 7 months. When called twice for service, the wait was unacceptable. My house heater failed; would have had to wait over a week in cold rainy winter for the first visit. Who knows how long it would have been to actually get heat back. When had an electrical failure, the wait was also a week meaning I licing with a fire hazard for that time. When asked about emergency service, was told I didn't qualify as problem not bad enough. Had to call local people to get both these issues fixed. Am now wondering why I have AHS in the first place. They were great in CA. Too bad they can't do well in WA state.

First Time Customer and Disappointed with lack of response from AHS | American Home Shield review from Lagrange, Georgia

I have two different home warranty accounts with AHS. My washer had an issue over a month ago. I filed a claim using AHS online service. I had to call numerous times to get the claim assigned to a service tech. The service tech showed up after almost a week and said they have to order parts and it will take them 7 days to order the part. I called back after 2 weeks and they said they will come out. They came out and nothing has still been fixed; instead telling me they'll call me back. It has been over 1 month without a washer and i'm very frustrated about the lack of customer service and prompt resolution of my issue. I want my washer fixed promptly.

Refrigerator repair | American Home Shield review

i have had this policy for a couple of months. my refrigerator went out, so i called American Home Shield. they scheduled a appointment for Nov. 8th between 8a and 12 noon. i waited during that window. no one called or showed up. this was Sears. i called Sears. they said that the repairman was running late. they said they could reschedule the appointment between 12:30p and 2:30p. i told her i had to go and vote and had some business to take care of. i told her it would be better toward 2:30p. i voted and took my grandson to get his oil changed in his car. at 12:30p i get recorded message that repairman it going to my house. i call sears and they said i would have to reschedule. i called American Home Shield and she rescheduled for today between 8a and 5p. i asked for a better time. she told me shed had one between 1p and 5p. i told her i would take that one. i waited all day for someone to come or call. i got nothing. i called American Home Shield about 4:30p. they had nothing scheduled. i did talk to a nice young man named Chris who called Sears. they scheduled me for tomorrow 11/11/16 between 8a and 5p. they could not give him a better window. i will have to wait on Sears alway tomorrow to come to the house. my refrigerator has been out since at least 8/5/16. i have a 90 year old living with my wife and i along with my youngest son and his 8 year old son. we have to eat out every day and is becoming expensive. had i known what i know not i would have not purchased a contract with American Home Shield. Caved Emptor. let the buyer beware.

They don't pay for the complete service | American Home Shield review

Details
For every service that is supposed to be covered there is always a portion that is not covered. I have been having trouble with my sink. They have sent plumbers to snake the sink. Now I have a plumber out who states that the previous plumber glued the pipes together and the only way to get it loose to snake is to cut it and replace with a new "p" trap. Of course that is not covered. The error of the previous plumber is now our responsibility. Came to fix the refrigerator, of course the ice maker is not covered. I think we are thru with them. They want a monthly fee and $75.00 service charge for every service.

I recently had my first needed repair from American home shield. I was very disappointed. The contractor did not cover his shoes. He replaced my broken microwave door. And left a screw on the floor and the door does not close smoothly.
