I have had this warranty for years and finally had to make my first service call. You would think they would be happy to have made so much money off of me in the first several years, but they sent a terrible plumber who caused a leak and damaged my floor.

When I called to send a new plumber, they told me their standard "your issue is not an emergency" line that I've heard others complain about. I asked them about fixing the damage their plumber caused and they said that they were not responsible for secondary damage caused by their repair person. Soโ€ฆ am I missing something? They won't let you use a professional of your choice, and then when the person they send actually destroys your property - they don't care?

They read your contract to you showing how they don't care and don't have to. Also their tactic of keeping you on hold with terrible music playing trying to get you to hang up is very crude. I've been on hold for 31 minutes after asking to speak to a supervisor. I also asked to speak to the rep who told me false information before and was told "We are a large company we don't know who talked to you." I asked how they don't know their own employee and was told "the notes just show initials, I have no idea who that is in our large company" soโ€ฆ way to go AHS - I hope everyone reads this and gets to know just how much this insurance company is not on your side.

You are better off paying for whatever damage may occur than to carry an insurance policy with a company that will do everything to get rid of you once you actually find that you need them. If this is how they are treating me over a plumbing issue that is less than a couple of hundred dollars to repair - imagine what they will do to you with a bigger claim.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: fix the damage that your contractor caused. Or refund my premium since you refuse to fix damage your company caused..
