I had used AHS for years and rec'd horrible service. I finally said enough and stopped paying. A few years later after a large amount of advertising, i was tricked into thinking they changed. Shame on me. I started serice a few months ago and just had a dish washer go bad. 30 days later, it just got fixed. Of course I paid my service fee and as usual, i had to have a seperate plumber make changes so they could have an easier and cheaper repair. I have been trying for days to get my tenants air condition fixed and no one at AHS seems to care. Keep in mind she is a single mother with kids and we are looking at five days to maybe figure out when it might be fixed. Not good service at all! Now AHS cant even find the original contractor that they sent out the first day. Unbeliveable! Be Aware! Add comment

Grade F Insists on replacinf bradford white water heater with cheap brand. Add comment

Easy to submit request and pay your deductible. Near impossible to find a good contractor they send. 4 weeks and my 14 yr old water heater still isnt replaces. I suspect AHS only contracts with the cheap guys. Will be cancelling my AHS contract. Add comment

WARNING... American Home Shield gave me terrible customer service and I found several other negative post about them. I had an issue with one of their required contractors after spending over 900.00 out of my pocket and when I needed something else done under my warranty American Home Shield insisted that I use that same company or they would not pay for a covered claim. I experienced the worst service from American Home Shield for our Gas Furnace (forced air). Our gas furnace(especially air motor was not working) was not working from 2/26/2016. I requested a service to American Home Shield on 2/27/2016 and they dispatched their contractor (Eastern Air Control) to our home on 2/29/2016. The contractor inspected our gas furnace and they said “The power air motor is broken, we will order the motor and it will be taken around 7 working days to purchase the motor”. I been with the company for almost 17 years hoping that when we need our ac replace they would help us. They not only denied our first claim stating the the compressor was to small for the house and that the unit has hail damage from 6 year ago until we asked for a second option and all that was debunked. Now they only want to pay 500 dollars to replace the compressor to a 25 year unit instead of replacing it as many of the technicians that they have sent have stated. AHS has denied a claim for an outdoor AC unit that happens to cool a part of our home that also houses a wine room. Though 3 separate technicians have come out and stated absolutely this is not a wine "chiller", AHS has denied the claim repeatedly saying they consider it a wine chiller per section G-3 of the warranty. Total fraud. Do not use this company, buyer beware. This is our third claim in almost a year and they have covered none of them on technicalities. This was final straw. Had an awful experience with AHS. Had a CO leak in the house found in the end of 4/2016 due to a cracked heat exchange per the technician that AHS sent to my house. Thought they would replace the part since it was visibly broken after a few months of winter. I was wrong. I had my home inspected prior to move in in 2/2016 and had a clean, strong furnace. However, AHS told me that my heater could not have broke due to "normal wear and tear" and that it couldn't have happened from the time I bought the warranty which was almost 3 month ago. I...
