My AC went out the 4th of July, Average daily temps since then has been in the 110'F and above. It now has been 19 days with out AC in my bedrooms, excuses and a $750.00 bill for non covered refrigerant and still no AC. If you have to call them on a claim be prepared to be on hold for 3 to 4 hours, sometimes your call is just dropped after waiting hours to speak to someone. The same is true for the tech they send out, once he finds the issue with your item to be repaired he has to report it to home shield and has to go through the same wait time as you. Bottom line is that it takes a week or two to get your problem solved. Home shield wants to repair your item... Read more

I am extremely upset with the service I have received from American Homeshield and it's representatives. I have been complaining about my broke washer since March of this year. Instead they have been putting band aids on the promblem leaving me with a broke half repaired machine. When offered to pay for the machine they only offered half the amount, devaluing my product. Over 8 days, four different vendors, air conditioner still not working in Las Vegas 110 heat, four different times requested to speak to supervisor, never a call back. Wrost customer service , average wait time on hold 55 minutes. We have been policy holders with AHS for over 12 years. Mostly because we feel we are stuck. Every time a large appliance goes out in our home they only fix it by replacing parts and putting a bandaid on the problem. The repairmen and companies they use have terrible ratings and do inadequate work. And the time it takes to get something repaired is completely absurd. American Home Shield - Leaking valve in my back yard

This is the third company I have been given to fix my AC and no one is here. I get that the previous job may have taken longer but a simple courtesy call to say you are running late would go a long way. I am so through with AHS for poor oversight of these companies.

My wife and I went on vacation to come back to a leaking water heater.
